1. Make a table with your data.  List the category on the left and the numeric response on the right. 
2. Highlight the table, including the titles.  Go to Insert tab>Recommended Charts>All Charts.  Select a box and whisker plot. Click OK. 
3. Follow formatting directions for all graphs.

***Note that for box plots, you will want to mention that the x denotes the mean and the line denotes the median in your caption.

Multiple series

For multiple series, add another column of the data and include labels at the top of the table for the different groups you are including.
